The lesson on Simon is both a lesson on rules and a story about a simple healing, this craft pushes Simon the Zealot to the side and just focus’ on the healing element. It’s simple flap reminds us what the hand was like before meeting Jesus but leaves us with the healed image of after the encounter. |
For this craft you will need the PDF printout (1 page per child), scissors, a glue stick, & some fabric scraps or other decorations. For printing in Colour PDF – one page For printing with No Colour (suitable for grey-scale) PDF – one page |
Start by cutting around the character, there is a generous boarder to make this easy. Also cut out the flap – if you don’t want it to open you can just cut out the bigger square. |
Fold and glue the flap in place, the picture should line up exactly. NB: Don’t decorate first or the flap may not fit in place! |
Get decorating, I’ve gone for green fabric scraps but you can use whatever materials you have on hand. Try to decorate both under and over the flap making sure it can still be opened! |
