This John the Baptist craft makes a simple dove from two strips of paper. It’s a perfect craft for younger kids, and a selection could make a stunning hanging display.

To make this craft, you will need the 1-page template printout, scissors, and glue. (There is no colour template)

Cut out the two shapes.

Add glue to the small boxes on the ends of the larger shape – the body piece.

Glue the body to form a teardrop shape – do not fold.

Repeat with the head piece.

Glue the head to the body.

The dove is complete.
You may wish to curl the wings gently upwards between your fingers.
