Andrew (Matthew 4) | Craft 1

As Andrew was the first called to be a ‘fisher of men’ alongside his brother Simon-Peter, I couldn’t resist giving him a couple fish-hooks on his character image and making this really simple hanging craft. fishers of men

For this craft you will need the PDF printout page, colouring pens, thin packaging card, glue, scissors, a hole punch, and some string.

Start by colouring your shapes, if you wish you can colour the other side once you’ve cut them out. Before cutting glue your paper to thin packaging cardboard, like cereal boxes. You may need to give it a minute to dry.

Cut out the three shapes as carefully as you can. Don’t worry if they don’t lay flat, it will give the final craft added dimension. Use a hole punch to make a hole in the middle of the hook at the top of the ring. you will want to tread a loop of string through this for hanging up later.

To attach the man you want to first hold the end of his arm backwards, this will form a small hook. add some glue to the hand you folded and attach it to the large hook.

The sign post is also attached by first folding the tabs into hooks. My sign reads “Jesus taught them how to catch men, instead of fish” but you can write any message you wish on your sign.
